Daily diarrhea score of the enterotoxigenic Escherichia coli O149:K88 challenged (d 29) weaned piglets fed without (Control; n = 19) or with (Supplemented; n = 15) supplementation of live yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae strain CNCM I-4407 (Actisaf; Lesaffre Feed Additives, Marcq-en-Baroeul, France). Scale used was 0 = normal feces, 1 = pasty feces, 2 = mushy feces, 3 = liquid feces, and 4 = diarrhea with blood. Values represent mean ± SEM. Statistically significant difference was observed between treatments (P < 0.05). Differences indicated for each time point are *P < 0.05 and **P < 0.01. Replication effect was not significant (P > 0.05).
